The Albany Chorale will award up to $1000 each season for a rising college freshmen pursuing music scholarship; the specific amount of the award will vary based on available funds.
The scholarship is limited to students currently enrolled in high school who will be graduating in May 2024. Qualifying high schools include all public, private and home schools in Albany, GA, and the surrounding areas.
Applicants must be planning to attend college during the 2024-2025 school year and considering a major in music. Applicants must have had at least one year of choral music education during school, or must have performed with the Albany Chorale for at least one concert. They must be in good academic standing and have a strong work ethic. Applicants must demonstrate a desire for musical growth.
Complete this application and mail with an official school transcript or most recent report card, and letters of recommendation from two references to the address below. Grammar, spelling and presentation will all be considered in addition to the answers to the questions. The awarded scholarship is valid for 6 months and will be paid directly to the educational institution on behalf of the recipient. All applicable materials must be post marked no later than March 9, 2024. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Send to:
